DESCRIPTION OF THE PLACES 
The Camping – The Holiday Centre “La Bussola” rises on the south coast of Manfredonia, at the place Vigna Balsamo: it is placed directly on the sea ( there is no need for crossing the road), at about 10 Km, from the centre of the Town. The earth on which the complex is rising is level, therefore adapted for bicycles, shadowed with high forest trees (eucalyptus, olives of Boemia, pine trees, saline acacia, etc.) and with a large sand beach, in part free and in part equipped as lido. The sea, softly declining and therefore devoid of danger, is ideal for children.
It is the adapted place for the family holiday, to live in the quite and the commodity of the village, with entertainments without forced rhythms and with the practice of sport activities. Either if it is of the norm, the guests love the relax of the life of the Village, we suggest to effectuated some of the numerous excursions to the most interesting and easily reachable resorts of the North of the Apulia, such as the Promontory of the Gargano with Mattinata, Vieste and Peschici; the National Park of the Gargano and Monte Sant’Angelo with his mythic Cave of Saint Michel, the Forest Umbra and the Sanctuary of Father Pio in San Giovanni Rotondo: the famous islands of the Tremiti: the Salt lakes of Margherita di Savoia, Barletta, Trani, Castel del Monte…. For the nature lovers and the “Bird Watching” it is possible to observe the sedentary, step fauna, and the aquatic flora of the Natural Oasis of the Lake Salso and in the Quagmire Frattarola which are both only at a distance of a few hundred meters of the Village.
Furthermore the Capitanata, rich of architectonic interests, which has cathedrals and castles scattered on his territory, archaeological sites, museums, sanctuaries and land-painting itineraries of the sub-Apennines Dauno of the Tavoliere completes the tourist offers.
Finally in addition, the wine- gastronomic itineraries, which takes to discover the agreeable dishes of the sea-and earth kitchen, served in the good restaurants, which between those enters with full merits the Restaurant of the Camping “...e non perdete la Bussola” (don’t loose the compass), have now becoming a pleasant stop point of the gourmets.
